The United Way helps communities across the Klamath Basin proactively prepare for disasters through strategic planning, workshops, and training sessions. By focusing on resilience before a disaster occurs, communities are better equipped to recover quickly and minimize long-term impacts.

When disaster occurs, the Klamath & Lake Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) is mobilized - a coalition of local partners providing essential resources such as food, shelter, transportation, and clothing to those impacted.

· Focus: Coordinating rapid response efforts through local partnerships and resource networks.

The United Way supports survivors in rebuilding their lives through personalized disaster case management. A Disaster Case Manager (DCM) works closely with eligible individuals to assess needs, develop recovery plans, and connect them with the necessary resources for long-term recovery and stability.
