Fund Raising Committee
Lauren Jespersen, Campaign Chairman
Approximately 200 volunteers participate in raising money for the United Way Community Campaign and the Oregon Employees Charitable Fund Drive.
These volunteers serve as campaign coordinators at their workplace, and others assist by volunteering to be part of the campaign leadership team. The 2019 United Way Community Campaign raised $493,280 for 97% of our $507,000 campaign goal under the leadership of chairman Dennis Winn. Lauren Jespersen, Sky Lakes Medical Center foundation director will chair the 2020 Community Campaign and the 2020 campaign goal has been set at $500,000. Currently 50% or $250,000 has been raised. He have a long way to go. Please give what you can. The final 2020 Campaign results will be announce following our annual board meeting on January 26, 2021. Please contact United Way at 541-882-5558 if you wish to help. (Visit the fundraising page for more information)
Fund Distribution Committee

This committee enlists the help of 30 to 40 volunteers each year. Volunteers each contribute about 15 hours during the 8-week assignment. After a thorough review of all the agency programs seeking funds these volunteers make a funding recommendation to the United Way board of directors. Sheri Hargrave is the chairwoman of the fund distribution committee. Volunteers for 2020 are being recruited now. The process starts on March 19 and ends May 12th. It’s a fun, very informative process. Call United Way 882-5558 to get involved. The 2020 process was conducted by telephone conference calls due to COVID-19. It is looking like the 2021 process will also be done by teleconferencing. Call United Way at 541-882-5558 for more information or to get involved.
